It's in the Air

With the temperature being in the straight upper 70s and low 80s all this week- I've been in weather heaven. I know that summer is coming- I see it all over with the massive amounts of good fruit at the grocery store, and flowers blooming in the gardens. It makes me want to get out in the dirt, be surrounded by greens and do some gardening.

So far, I've gotten some succulents and I haven't managed to kill them yet... so we're good for now. This weekend I'll be planing some more goodies... we'll see how that goes!

Happy Wednesday friends!

Some Pics

From our trip to Seattle last week. We totally did the tourist thing and went on the Underground
Seattle tour and Pikes Place Market. My Seattle-native husband was nice to do them with me :)

We also went to the Tulip Festival- this wonderful Northwest thing where there's a ton of color coordinated tulips all over the place- pretty beautiful.

We even managed to get a few days of sun while we were up there!

Such a fun fun trip :)

A good pair

Did these illustrations the other day, after thinking about how I need a new pair of flats, and how they're not that easy to find. Once I find the right pair of flats, I wear them way too much until they
fall apart. Well I'm in the fall apart stage of my flats right now, and really need to find a new pair.

So I drew a pic about it.

Paper Scraps

Photobucket

I hate having to throw things away, its something I'm learning how to do.
I just can't help but think, "I can use these sometime in the future!"
A few years later they're still in the "I'll use these one day" box.

I have a ton of paper scraps collected over the years, and have rounded
up some DIY's on what you can do with those guys! If you have a ton of
scraps you just can't throw away, maybe try one of these crafts to turn them
into something you'll actually love and use!

1: Paper Scrap Flowers. Limited only by your creativity.
The uses for these are endless!

2: Recycled Paper Notebooks. Gifts, journals, sketchbooks, scrapbooks.
Fun times.

3: Book Cover and Freshened Up Ruler! Paper scraps can cover an
already existing journal or book, line a ruler that needs a bit of freshness,
or even cover a pencil or scissors.

Dresses are Cute and Comfy. And the Best.

Photobucket

Summer is almost here! So naturally that means its time for cute dresses!
There's nothing better than a lovely dress thats waiting to be thrown on when
its too hot outside to think too hard about what your wearing. Its effortlessly cute and comfy.
I'm a big fan of floral prints and I love this bright colorful one from ASOS. Now the weather just
needs to get really hot so I have a chance to wear one of these little guys!

Nature and Hikes!

Photobucket

My sister and grandpa have been in town this week and we've been having a blast hanging
with them. My sister has been making amazingly wonderful food for us all to eat -
so good we had to go on a hike to burn off the calories we've been consuming :)

I got the urge to pick a bouquet of wild flowers, scan them into the computer,
then put them in a little bottle on my shelf! I miss wildlife and needed to take a bit home with me.
And not one spider crawled out of the flowers when we got back home! It was amazing!

Feels good to breathe the fresh air and get out in nature!

Refreshment = complete.
