Fresh Color

These are some of my recent pins. I'm a huge fan of this color, when I see it I feel clean, energized, and yet at peace because of its cool nature. It's interesting to see which colors different people are drawn to and why.

Which colors do you gravitate towards? What covers your Pinterest board? How does that color make you feel and why do you love it so much? Think about it!

Cute Things

Today I'm just really loving these particular five things. Not just the items individually, but the feeling they create when placed together. The colors, the textures, the shapes and sizes.

I feel like they would be owned by the crafty/fashionable lady who knows how to get things done, but is playful and truly an artist at heart.

Did you all have a good Wednesday? Mine was a bit crazy, but in a good way. Many new opportunities and things happening over here!

Here's where you can find these lovely items:

Oh Cuteness.

I'm a sucker for a necklace with a long chain and cool charm/rock/watch/anything cute at the bottom. I've tried to rock short necklaces before, but I really just can't do it... I just don't think they look good on me. So anyways, this lovely necklace was on the front page of Etsy today, and I fell in love!!

It's neutral color allows it to go with tons of different clothing options- and it's handmade!
Doesn't get any better than that.

Spring and Brunch Times.

I have this tendency to rush Spring along so we can get to Summer, but
this year, I'm actually really enjoying it.  I don't know what it is about the season-
the colors, the celebration, the sunshine and flowers- it just feels peaceful and bright.

I'm already excited for Easter. Our family has always done a big brunch after church
and it's always the best food. I love dressing up for this day with bright colors
and pretty dresses. I was browsing around Madewell and got so inspired for Spring time wear!

Love all these accessories with bits of colors that will make any outfit pop!

Love Nail Tree

I've loved this brand for a while now and just rediscovered how awesome they are while browsing the web last night. Here's what they're about, directly from their site:

LOVE NAIL TREE IS A COMPANY MOTIVATED AND FUELED BY A DESIRE TO PROVOKE CONVERSATION ABOUT TOPICS NEGLECTED AND OFTEN IGNORED BY OUR CULTURE. WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF STORY AND THINK THERE ARE MANY THAT NEED TO BE TOLD. WHETHER IT BE THE TRAFFICKING OF HELPLESS CHILDREN, THE DEVASTATION OF ADDICTION, OR THE HIGH RATE OF DIVORCE IN AMERICA. OUR HOPE IS THAT THE STORIES WE TELL WOULD MOVE PEOPLE TO ACTION AND INSPIRE A DEEP CHANGE WITHIN THEM.

It's so refreshing to see people doing what they do for the sake of others. It is inspiring. It dosen't hurt that I could see myself wearing everything they sell- in fact I would like to do that. So today I'm inspired in more ways than one by this brand.

Find these items here and check out the rest of Love Nail Tree's site while you're there.

spruce that outfit ups

Let's talk about clothes for a sec. With Christmas partys and other festivities happening lately, its fun to get dressed up. Or not, that's cool too. I'm the kinda girl who doesn't go shopping all too often, I just recycle my closet and try to mix and match stuff. I'm not too sure how good at it I am, but it's what works for me!

Most of the time when I'm headed out, I am rushing and changing a million times, slowly but surely hiding the carpet in our room as I'm throwing my clothes all over the place. Usually Im just looking for that one thing to make my outfit pop a little bit. Something that changes the norm to the glam. And it doesn't even have to be anything fancy fance!

Here are a few quick go-to fashion tips you can pull off in less than a min. Right when you're headed out the door. And you'll look amazing!

Numbero Uno: Heels with socks. I know it might take a little getting used to if you've never done it before. But adding some socks to go with that dress and heels can really change up your outfit. A great way to recycle those shoes you're constantly wearing. Maybe get bold and wear some red socks to a Christmas party... oh yes. I think that would be amazing.

Dos: Bangles and Rings. We underestimate the power of these guys. But they add so much! Wear one chunky gold bangle with a simple ring, or layer them like crazy to make a bigger statement! Again, super easy to throw on as your headed out the door, but they make all the difference!

Numbero Tres: Colorful Lips and Colorful Shoes. When you've got some gold sparkly shoes on- or any bright color for that matter, your outfit is gonna look awesome. Throw on some pink lips like Gwen over here. (Here's a great red lip tutorial perfect for the Christmas parties) Its that subtle pop of color that stands out from the rest of your outfit. It says, "I got class, but totally not boring."

So there you have it! Try one of these tips next time your headed out the door and only have a minute or two to give your outfit that glam sparkle.

PS- I totally meant to post this blog this morning, but accidentally stayed up too late and slept in... not having time to do it this morn. oopsies. So sorry to all you morning readers. But I do hope you are all having a lovely afternoon!

Knits and Buns

I could live in a variation of this outfit every day over fall. Infact, that's kinda what I do...
The cozy warmth of a chunky knit scarf and the ease of a high messy bun are just too hard to resist!

Beautys.

I'm loving the photography on this site called Closet Visit. Its a Cargo site with interviews of
talented women with great style. The site interviews each woman on what they do, how they
define their personal look and other fun questions.

There's something inspiring about seeing successful people within the context of their own homes.
I guess it helps you relate to them, knowing that you too, can do what you've always dreamed of.
Because they're a human, and so are you.

Street Struttin Fashion

Street fashion is a great way to get inspired for your daily wardrobe. Sometimes it helps me
come up with a new way to wear pieces I've worn the same way for a long time, or gives
confidence to pull out that old dress you've had for years but have never known how to sport it.

Street Peeper is a great site always updated with street fashion from around the world.

I'm loving these looks from Paris and New York. So fun!

Christian Louboutin's Fall 2011 Lookbook is genius.

Who needs coffee in the morning when you can just look at bright images?

Just kidding. I still need coffee.
