The Good Stuff

Ok- totally just found one of my new favorite artists- Jennifer Sanchez! Isn't her use of mix medias, colors and patterns brilliant?? I know I say this all the time, but I seriously have got to do some art outside the computer... the creative juices are flowin and I'm feeling inspired once again. Let's see if I actually do anything with it... or find time to!

Kayak Wrap

I'm loving this project. The Hungry Workshop was commissioned to design a kayak wrap. And in my opinion- it turned out pretty awesome.

How great are these completely modern looking boats? They were created around 1916!
A pretty cool inspiration for this project.

I love the look of these Kayaks. Simple black and white pattern. It's also fun to see where the artists get their inspiration from. I never would of thought I would be admiring the look and feel of a kayak... but it's great to see good design played out on different mediums.

Alexa Chung

How lovely is Alexa Chung in these photos for Vero Moda's Spring collection? The actually affordable clothes from Vero Moda are pretty lovely as well. I'll definitely have to get my hands on one of the pieces from the new collection! Cute cute.

Shapes and Patterns

I'm totally digging the way this artist uses small shapes and patterns to create her pieces.
Love her color palettes too :)

my guest post on craft snob!

i had the opportunity to do a guest post over on this lovely craft blog today.
its confession time- i'm really not that great of a crafter, i just really want to be and totally
pretend that i am. so i have to admit i was a little intimidated when sara from Craft Snob
asked me to come up with a tutorial for how to make a Christmas tree ornament!

i originally thought i would just do a pdf download of something i designed (that i can do!)
but then once i got going, i thought, "i can totally make this in real life!" so i did. and you
can see how i did it right here!

i think it came out lookin pretty good! its full of patterns and color- so i like that :)

Photobucket

I'm really digging this Tumblr site you can categorize by color.

I'm also liking the color orange in these patterns and on these people.

All found on that same Tumblr. Cool beans.
