San Diego Trip Time

This past weekend Nolan surprised me and planned a little trip to San Diego. We had a blast hanging by the water, dressing up for dinner and swimming in the ocean.

Isn't nice to just get away sometimes? It refreshes me to get out of the routine and out of the norm.
So now our anniversary festivities are officially over, and here we go- onto year two!!

A Little Weekend Post

I'm trying to take more pics throughout my days- it was one of my new years resolutions.

I didn't do too well with that this weekend, but I did take a few.

Cream was this last Thursday! I was really bad about taking photos, but I did get some shots of a few decor pieces I loved!

I was also able to spend a day with some friends on the coast this weekend. It was really relaxing and reminded me how much I miss living by the beach.

We hung out with my parents yesterday- again took no photos, but I did get some shots of our yogurt we got when we were back in town... can't get enough of that stuff...

I'll try and do better photo taking this week- I'll make it a little goal of mine. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Happy Weekend!

Happy weekend everyone! Hope you have some time to relax while geting out of this heat!
Head somewhere near the water or a place with some awesome air conditioning.

I plan on trying not to cry my eyes out every second because one of my best friends is
moving across the country on Sunday... I will miss her and her hubs dearly... on a lighter note
I also plan on finishing up some freelance projects, re-doing our fridge
(goodbye my ghetto friend), thrifting a bit for household decos, baking cupcakes,
and finishing reading this book.

Have a good one people and I'll see you on Monday!

Honeymoon Goodness

Nolan and I were fortunate enough to spend a week in Maui, Hawaii for our honeymoon. With the kindness and help of friends and family, we stayed in an amazing house and were able to do some really fun activities.

Here are some photos from our week...

And of course, its your honeymoon so spending time together as newlyweds is the most important part!

We had an amazing time. After all of the wedding planning, stress and work put into the few weeks before the big day, it was great to just have some time alone, relaxing and enjoying this wonderful vacation from everyday life. I had never been to Hawaii before, and I came to find that Maui is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! Everything from the people to the weather, the beaches and landscape, it was perfection. We didn't want to leave! We are so blessed to have had this wonderful vacation- thanks to everyone who made it possible! Love you guys!

Photobucket

I'm out by the seashore and its chilly and foggy- so different compared to the
hot weather I just came from.
But I love it- it feels good to put those boots on once again instead of flip flops!
The air is so refreshing- its really clearing my head.

So greetings from the seashore!

Beach Day Fun Times

With the weather being as beautiful as it is today, I'm dying to go to the beach!
Since I can't really be doing that today, I decided instead to dream about what I would
wear if I were to go to the beach today!

Here's my list of must-wears when I head to the sea shore:

Gotta have some shades to protect those sensitive pupils.

A light tank top to throw over your suit is a necessity in my opinion.

Some shorts for when you need to leave the sand for some ice cream. Make mine
teal and polka dot please.

Of course an orange bikini for that salty ocean water!

Bring it all together with by keeping a consistant color and you're set.
Don't forget the sunblock!
