Work Playlist

I know I'm totally late on the game here, but I just downloaded Spotify last week and I have been so in love!! I used to be pretty into music. But as I got older, graduated college and wasn't constantly surrounded by people sharing awesome music with me, I kind of got into this rut of listening to the same stuff over and over.

So when I finally hopped onto Spotify I have been so happy to discover so much good music, as well as heading back to the good classic stuff I've always loved. So, all that being said, if you have Spotify, I thought I'd share with you a playlist I'm using to work to today.



When it comes to work music, I really like something with a good beat and not a ton of words, (it gets hard for me to concentrate on work when I'm singing.)

Have you heard?

Have you guys heard Lana Del Rey yet? I fell in love with her music once her song randomly played on an iTunes radio station I was listening to. Her soothing voice and intense lyrics really captivate.
Her feel is a bit dark, but beautiful.
It's perfect music to design/work to.

There's a great interview with her here on Pitchfork. Definitely keep watching out for her, she's making
waves in the music world, and her new album releases this month! Can't wait!

The Ocean Builder EP

Happy Friday everyone! Today I'm sharing with you my little brother Jonny's new EP he just released,
The Ocean Builder. He is a talented musician who I am so proud of to say the least.

All of his songs are written by him, lyrics, music and all. He also plays all of the instruments and recorded everything himself. Even the creek noise and crickets were recorded by him in the hills behind his house! Jonny also wrote and sang a song at our wedding during our ceremony. It was such a special time for us, a beautiful song that gives me chills. His EP is nothing less.

I had the opportunity to do this sketch for his cover art. Jonny knew exactly what he wanted, all I
had to do was put it onto paper.
