My Week to the End.

One of my good friends from my hometown (we've been friends since we were 10!) came and stayed with us this weekend. It was so great to have her in town. We relaxed, strolled the city, drank mimosas, ate good food, drank coffee, and watched Harry Potter.

We also played tourist and went to the Kodak theater to see the Academy Awards being set up. I wanted to sneak through that gate so bad! On Sunday, we headed over to our friend's house for an Oscar Party. I've talked about Rachel on here a bit- (she's the one who has this awesome talent of making amazing food.) She made tons of themed snacks/appetizers and drinks to go with each movie that was nominated! Not only was it such a cute idea- but it was SOO yummy.

It's not always easy for me to take a weekend and not get on my computer- but I totally did this weekend, and I feel so refreshed and ready for a hard work week! Let's do this!

As if I haven't said it before, our wedding was completely magical.

The best day of my life. Hands down.

I honestly don't know what else to say about it that I haven't said before! We are blessed beyond
believe. And thats really all there is to say.

Now I'm going to go eat some breaky and drink some coffee with my husband who has
Mondays off :)

Have a great day friends.

I love and appreciate the art of baking, using quality ingredients and making everything
from scratch. I REALLY do have a strong appreciation for that... but lets face it, baking everything
from scratch takes a lot of time, effort, and money that we just don't always have!

So what do you do when you have to make some cupcakes for the party you're going to tonight
but have no time or money? Make these!

These are so easy, taste great and look great too! I love frosting cupcakes with the ziplock bag trick.
It makes your cupcakes look good, even though you don't have the necessary tools used for frosting.
And the berry on top gives the cupcakes that extra wow factor. Especially when you put one of these
Dark Chocolate Acai Berries on top. My new addiction- they're amazing.

Here are the ones I made for my small group the other night, they got a little messy
when I loaded them in the car, but you get the idea!

Not too shabby for a few bucks and not much effort! They tasted great too. I like to put them
in the oven for just a minute or two less than what the recipe calls for- it makes them extra
gooey! So yummy and oh so simple.

Trees + Cupcakes

Kevin Russ is an amazing photographer who grew up in my home town.
I just went through his Flickr stream and found this wonderful little gem.
A photo of a cupcake tree. Made me feel happy inside.
